Celebrate manga and graphic novels with our Teen Anime and Manga Club. This drop-in program is open to all teens and tweens looking to discuss their favourite manga and anime, share recommendations and discover new favourites!

What to Expect

💬 Bi-Weekly Themed Discussions – Each session will have a fun theme, such as:

• "Manga vs. Anime" – Comparing adaptations of our favorite series!
• "Best First Volumes" – What makes a great first chapter?
• "Underrated Gems" – Hidden treasures you NEED to read.
• "Manga Across the World" – Exploring comics from Japan, Korea (Webtoons), China (Manhua), and beyond!
• "Battle of the Shonen Titans" – Naruto, One Piece, My Hero Academia... Who reigns supreme?
• "Villains & Antiheroes" – Who’s your favorite manga antagonist?

📝 Creative Activities – Because we don’t just read manga… we CREATE, too!

• DIY Manga & Comic Strips – Draw your own manga-style character or mini-comic!
• Character Design Challenge – Can you design the next great manga hero?
• Mini-Zine Workshop – Learn how to make a tiny manga-style zine!
• Fan Art & Cosplay Show & Tell – Bring your artwork or dress up as your favorite character!

• We’ll have a selection of manga & graphic novels available from the library!
• Help us build our collection! Suggest new titles for the library to order.
• Explore different genres – from fantasy & sci-fi to romance & slice-of-life!
