Glee The Complete Third Season originally aired back in 2011 and is made up of 22 episodes. If I had to summarize this season in one word I would use: perfect. In my opinion, this is one of the better seasons as it once again focuses on all the characters while also being slightly somber and emotional as many of the main characters prepare for the unknown future and part ways from McKinley. I really liked this season's Christmas special and a lot of its episodes too. My favourite characters had to be Kurt, Blaine, Mercedes and Sam. Finally, there were so many songs that stuck out to me this season that were great including: It's Not Unusual, Candyman, Uptown Girl, Rumour Has It/Someone Like You mashup, We Are Young, and Smooth Criminal to just name a few. 5 Stars

Very entertaining. I just can't help but be amazed and appalled by the emphasis on prom and graduation: it's just like focussing on the wedding day and forgetting about the marriage. Virtually every episode in this rather long season is a goodbye.

Although I give Glee credit for attempting to showcase controversial topics and to present a diverse group of characters, I have some concerns: transsexuality is presented in a very facile way, as is spousal abuse. The inroduction and wrap-up up both topics in fragments of a couple of episodes means that no really hard-hitting commentary is made. (Alert, potential spoiler.) In the same vein, a seriously disabled person recovers full mobility in a matter of weeks, and a mother chooses to keep a fetus with Down's syndrome. With respect to the latter incident, there is no discussion of risk factors for older mothers. The mother has no soul-searching or adjustment period before making her decision.

@SBlackstone Actually, the description is right. That's what it says on the back of the Glee Season 3 DVD cover.
