Not great literature but an interesting story about the challenges of old embedded Russian spies still working despite the loss of the Soviet Union. Unscrew your thinking cap and just enjoy the story despite as preposterous as it might seem.
Lucas Davenport #15. A Russian sailor is killed on the shore of Lake Superior and Davenport needs to solve it. He also has to work with an investigator from Moscow who he more than half believes is more spy than investigator. The killer is revealed early on and much of the story is spent on piecing together the why and who, if anyone, is really a bad guy here.
It was okay. The writing was good but the plot pushed the limits of credibility way past the stretching point
John Sandford - never a disappointment!
Five-star rating for Hidden Prey! Sanford's Prey series just keeps getting better... and better.
