I'm surprised this got such a low rating on Rotten Tomatoes and elsewhere. It's not a bad film. It has first person shots, memory snippets of the characters', reminiscent of playing a Resident Evil game and very much like how the film plays out as the characters are led to solve their memory loss mystery. I think old time gamers may enjoy this.

This mystery/thriller film is about a man who wakes up surrounded by piles of dead bodies. Upon his rescue, he must try and figure out if he was the monstrous murderer, or if his saviours are waiting to murder him too. The storyline was interesting enough that it drew me in to watch the movie, but I quickly felt like taking it back after watching everything very slowly pan out. The movie did have some cool characters and captivating visuals, but everything fell apart from cliches and poor writing. I would rate this almost good movie 2/5 stars. @The_Reviewer of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

“Open Grave” gets points for trying to find a different angle to the zombie story. But the movie drags as the characters try to piece together what happened. The end, when all is revealed, doesn’t come soon enough.

Pretty good movie. Nothing outstanding, but worth a watch if you've got nothing better to do.

Not really a scary movie at all, don't go into this expecting pure horror. No jumpscares, nothing scary really happens. This is more of a psychological/mystery, with the theme of memory loss. The ending was rather touching too.

An ok film, but I feel the subject of memory loss has presented in many movies.
